About
I’m currently a photography and marketing student at Freed-Hardeman University. My plan is to combine marketing with my passion for photography in a career after graduation.
I’ve been doing photography since my junior year of high school when I took a class in photojournalism. I didn’t find my passion for it until my senior year and began shooting at many games. I used it as a chance to really grow and learn. I chose two sports a season to focus on so I could get the hang of it. I also shot various events including a visit from Vietnam Veterans to our high school and a local event, the MOSAICS art festival.
College has allowed me to continue growing as a photographer. I’ve been able to take classes to reinforce the basics, learn principles of design, learn how to shoot and develop film, and learn photo manipulation. In addition, I’ve been able to try new things, including marketing. In these classes, especially the higher level ones, I’ve been able to gain real-world experience like running a Facebook page for a client and creating a promotion plan for a client.
