Fashion Photography
NEW YORK
I was able to spend a week in New York as part of a photography class in August of 2018, and one assignment dealt with fashion photography. We went to a professional studio and worked with professional models. We had the chance to work out on the fire escape, in the studio lighting, and in natural light.
This experience was incredible and made me think on my feet more. I was able to learn more about studio lighting.
Light and Dark
This was my second time using the studio on Freed-Hardeman’s campus. I wanted to do something that took away the color and see more of the details in the clothes. I tried some different things, some of which didn’t work like I wanted them to. However, I was able to exercise a degree of creativity in planning for and executing the shoot.
old and new
This was my first time working in the studio on Freed-Hardeman’s campus. In this shoot, I wanted to combine elements of things that were or appeared to be older with newer elements.
I did a lot of research about fashion photography and posing in an effort to prepare for working with three models. I planned some poses, so I could have some ideas going in. I had to experiment with the lighting and other equipment to find my groove and get comfortable in the studio.
